Pick up in the morning and visit the sacred mountain of Ainos. The view from the top is amazing ! You can walk for approx. 15 minutes and see all Kefalonia island from the top. ( need reasonable shoes, water, and sun cream )
Next destination is the famous and colorful Melissani lake dedicated to the nymphs, and ancient Greek God Panas. The tour on the boat is about 10-15 minutes.
An ideal walk back to the history, … the old Vlachata village is an abandoned place now – due to the earthquakes, but it’s still is one of the most beautifull places to walk within old huge trees – stones – doors and windows.. It’s like the Ghost village and well known for the Saristra festival that takes place every summer.
Last stop is Antisamos beach – the famous Captains’ Corelli beach , from the well known film about an Italian Captain in kefalonia during the war, were you can swim/ enjoy snorkelling, and have free time for a snack.
